AFCON 2021: 6 Stadiums Hosting African Cup of Nations Matches

AFCON 2019 Stadiums: 6 stadiums that will host matches at the African Cup of Nations 2019 in Cameroon.

With the Africa Cup of Nations 2019 starting on the 7th June 2019 in Cameroon, we provides you with all of the 6 stadiums that will be hosting the AFCON 2019 matches throughout the competition.

Kicking off on 7th to 30th June 2019 with 24 national football teams contesting for a place at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

AFCON 2019 Stadiums

All the matches will take place live in 6 venues in 5 host cities including Yaounde which is the home to 2 stadiums [Paul Biya Stadium and Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium]

Paul Biya Stadium

Paul Biya Stadium also known as the Olembe Stadium is so far one of the best and outstanding stadium in Africa. Olembe Stadium—due to its massive capacity—and world class standard will host the opening as well as the closing ceremonies of the African Cup of Nations 2019.

Japoma Stadium

Japoma Stadium nicknamed Omnisports Stadium of Douala is a football stadium located in the city center of Japoma. The Omnisports stadium will hosts quite a number of matches during the African Nations Cup in Cameroon.

Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium

Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium is one of few Cameroon's football stadium slated to hosts the upcoming 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations. The Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium is also known to be the home venue for the Cameroonian national football team. Although this stadium is also currently used by Canon Yaounde and Tonnerre Yaounde football clubs.

Roumdé Adjia Stadium

Stade Roumde Adjia is one of the best football stadiums in Cameroon. With renovation ongoing, this stadium is expected to be fully functional by the end of 2018. Roumde Adjia Stadium serves as a home venue for Cotonsport Garoua football club and is set to be one of the stadium to host the 2019 African Nations Cup.

Kouekong Stadium

Kouekong Stadium or Bafoussam omnisports Stadium is a football stadium located in Kouekong. This stadium is used mainly for football matches though also athletic facilities for variety of sports. The stadium is listed to be used during the AFCON 2019 tournament.

Limbe Stadium

    Limbe Omnisport Stadium is one of the football stadium around the world built on a hill. The Limbe Stadium was built and inaugurated on 2012 and 2016 respectively. This stadium is actively serving as a home ground for Victoria United football club and it is one of the stadium to be used during the Africa Cup 2019.

    These are the 6 AFCON 2019 stadiums and 5 venues that will hosts all the matches at the upcoming African Cup of Nations 2019 in Cameroon. However, some of these stadiums are still under construction while some are going through a major renovation by several foreign companies, but will be ready for use before the tournament kicks off.
